I just found out that Peter Tork has died. Yes, Peter Tork, one of the members of the popular 60s’ rock band The Monkees has just passed away at the age of 77 from some sort of cancer. He was the second member of the band to pass on. Davy Jones was the first.
You know, in the classic Monkees episode The Devil and Peter Tork, Peter inadvertently sold his soul to the devil for the ability to play the harp. With the help of his fellow band members and friends, Peter was able to beat the devil by showing to everyone that he already have the talent for the harp. He was born to play any instrument, including the harp. The devil never gave him anything at all. This leads Peter’s soul to be saved and the devil going back to [“Koo-Koo”] empty handed. Now in reality Peter has died and hopefully God rescues his soul from the devil and bring him to Heaven so he can play in a Heavenly rock n’ roll band. Hope there’s a harp for him up there. He will love to play it again.
RIP, Peter Tork. May your music live on with the Monkees.
