As Charlie Cox looks forward to play the part of Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil) once more when Netflix renews the series for Season 3, just everybody else who loves The Punisher, Charlie wants badly to see Netflix do a solo Punisher series starring Jon Bernthal as the skull chested man with a gun and, in my case, a harp, himself, Frank Castle, The Punisher.
“I know this is something that’s been speculated about, and I have no idea if it’s possible or not possible, but having worked with Jon [Bernthal] I would love to see Punisher get his own show,” Cox said, clarifying that he has no inside knowledge of what shows will or won’t be made at Netflix. “I would love to see that happen. I just think it’s such a rich character, and Jon embodies him in such a spectacular way. I think fans are gonna be overwhelmed and pleased with what he brought to the character. So I’d love to see the Punisher get his own 13 episodes.”
“And if he does,” added Cox, “I’d love to be in it. I’d love Daredevil to make an appearance.”
In other words: Charlie Cox to Netflix: “Do it! Do it! Do it!”
