Victor Salvi was a world renowned harpist and harp maker who is known worldwide for his fantastic series of harps known as Salvi Harps. Born in 1920 in the US to a family of harpists and harp makers, he eventually grew to become a harpist himself who used to performed in various orchestras until he decided to follow the family tradition and become a harp maker. In 1954, he built his first harp. Then a year later, he relocated to Italy and established a factory there where he began making his wonderful series of harps that are highly praised and cherished by many harpists worldwide to this very day. The reason I’m bringing him up is because this master harpist and harp maker have passed away a few days ago at the age of 95. And this post is paying tribute to this fabulous man.
Sherry Konkus lives in Owosso, MI. She is the proud owner of the Camac Athena EX Concert Grand Harp named "Grover" and is also the proud author of The Punisher Harp Zone. Sherry is the one who came up with the idea of portraying The Punisher from Marvel Comics as the punishing harpist who plays the harp in memory of his family who was killed by the mob years ago.
