I woke up Saturday morning to find that another teaser for Season 2 of Daredevil from Netflix has just been released. Unfortunately nobody bothered to record the footage when it was shown at the ComicCon Brazil which taking place in Brazil right now. But a description of it has been released by a Tumblr user instead. Get a load of this!
The “teaser” started on a scene where Matt, dressed as Daredevil (wearing the uniform from the end of season 1) walks on a room that looked like a refrigerator. The place was barely lit and had big slices of meat hanging from the ceiling.
As Daredevil walks on that room (the camera focused only at him) we see that he’s searching for something as he stays quiet, slowly walking deep into the room, turning his head trying to hear something. At some point, something not show to the spectator grasps his attention. The camera open focus to the rest of the room and we see that there are also people being hanged like meat. Matt searches the corpses with his super senses, not touching, only trying for heart beats, once he finds someone he rush to aid the man: “I’ll take you of that” (or something like it), he says as he tries to take the barely alive man off the hook.
After succeeding, he lays the guy (that I have no idea of how he could be alive considering how badly injured the dude was) on the ground and say something along the lines “Why did they do this to you?” In which the guy mumbles “They? It was just a guy”. Matt stays dead silent, camera focusing on him.
The scene shifts. It’s night time and someone is on the top of a building aiming a sniper riffle at a person on a taxi. I’m not sure if the person being aimed was a man or a woman, though it looked like a woman. The man behind the gun is no one else but the Frank Castle. While Frank is readying his riffle for the perfect shot, unaware of his surroundings, DD appears. Running on the rooftop, he jumps and kicks the gun, amazingly diving over Frank to stop him. They soon engage on a fight, but when it was getting interesting and intense as f— the scene was cut with the Daredevil logo and “2016 – NETFLIX”.
What Frank does to fight crime is deeply disturbing, most horrifying, and nightmarish to many people. What The Punisher did to the criminals in that second teaser is no wonder why Matt, SpiderMan, the Avengers and nearly every Marvel Hero out there are completely turned off by Frank’s ultra-violent crime fighting tactics.
The Harp Playing Punisher is no different than the other incarnates found in both Punisher Max and the upcoming season 2 of Daredevil. Frank, the harpist, is highly ultra-violent against criminals. He engages in all sorts of violent tactics to fight crime, especially torture, and relies on anything necessary to send all criminals to their graves, including a harp believe it or not. His harp in which he takes its strings and uses them to hang his crooked victims from the ceiling like meat. When he does this, Frank mainly uses the harp’s big wire strings for such a purpose. Frank also uses the harp’s first 3 wire strings (7th octave C, D, and E) as a whip to torture and interrogate a lowlife scum for answers. In one example, Frank flogs one of Kingpin’s henchmen into telling him where Candy Eye, a mob leader behind the manufacturing and shipment of a deadly drug called “Sweet Syn”, is sending the latest shipment of the drug to. The whip Punisher uses is made up of the three 7th octave wire strings and a razor sharp barb wire which are all braided together to create the whip Punisher uses in his torture sessions. Ouch!
Every wire string on the Punisher’s harp, the 5th, 6th, and 7th octave strings that produce low sounds when you pluck them are used by Frank to strangle a human trafficker, behead a rapist with a whiplash, hang a wife and child beater by his neck until he’s dead, kill any criminal guilty of a crime before going back to his harp to practice his rolling arpeggios as if nothing happened. And you thought harps are just wimpy instruments… sheesh!
