In 2014, I did this Punisher fan art which shows just how Frank feels when he plays his harp in memory of his family. When he peacefully strums his 2 harps, the WarHarp and his concert grand one, all he can think of is his late family whom The Costa Family destroyed years ago on that fateful day at New York City’s Central Park. Frank swears he can hear voices coming from especially WarHarp’s strings that perfectly match the voices of his beloved wife, Maria, and his two children Lisa and Frank Jr.
The original 2014 version showing Frank playing on the WarHarp
The 2016 Remake showing Frank playing his other harp.
They sing to him, moving him to tears, making him forget that he ever was a vigilante out for punishment and vengeance, but instead make him into what he once was — a normal loving family man — before his life changed forever at the hands of the mob. Frank plucks the strings, sings, and joins the choir of “voices” coming from the strings that dance at the gentle pluck of Frank’s otherwise killing hands.
