I’ve been doing a lot of drawing as of late. You see, I plan to create a Punisher harp picture based on Comic Artist Bill Reinhold’s excellent Punisher artwork that appeared in many classic Punisher comics such as these two.
I just finished penciling Frank’s head as you can see below.
All I need to do now is draw the body, head, arms, hands, and a harp for him to play music on, using a whole collection of harp photos I gathered from Facebook and other internet sites as models for my art. While I was at it, I did a little remake of a classic Punisher harp art that shows Frank strumming on his WarHarp while relaxing in his chair. The link contains the original version of the piece. Sherry Konkus lives in Owosso, MI. She is the proud owner of the Camac Athena EX Concert Grand Harp named “Grover” and Camac Mademoiselle named “Ernie.” She’s also the proud author of The Punisher Harp Zone. Sherry is the one who came up with the idea of portraying The Punisher from Marvel Comics as the punishing harpist who plays the harp in memory of his family who was killed by the mob years ago.
