I just arrived to work today when suddenly, News Flash! Punisher to make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by appearing in next year’s Season 2 of Daredevil, a highly acclaimed show from Netflix! Oh, how I am happy and overjoyed to hear the news! No more gloom and especially that dreaded god Doctor Doom and his despicable BattleWorld fantasy planet! It’s official! Jon Bernthal, the actor who played Shane Walsh from The Walking Dead, will be playing the part of Marvel Universe’s deadliest vigilante, The Punisher who’s going to harp his way (no pun intended) into blowing up and killing every criminal infesting Hell’s Kitchen where Daredevil makes his presence known.
Netflix’s “Daredevil” series will add another major Marvel vigilante to its ranks in its second season: The Punisher, as played by “The Walking Dead” alum Jon Bernthal. Here’s Marvel Television’s official description of The Punisher: “a vigilante who aims to clean up New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen by any means necessary, no matter how lethal the results.”
“Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences,” Marvel Head of Television Jeph Loeb said in the announcement on Marvel.com. “Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same.”
This’ll be an incredible sight to see when Daredevil debuts on Netflix in 2016. Daredevil and Punisher going head to head in a vicious battle over who’s ways of fighting crime is better? Frank’s or Matt’s?
